Internship: Responsibilities include aiding the Programming staff and on-air hosts with research, sound editing, and board operation. In addition, interns will help to coordinate contests, copywriting, aiding in the development of station promotion ideas, writing letters, preparing sales materials, researching and updating station websites. Out-of-office responsibilities will include assisting with the stations' marketing efforts and events, promoting at events including sporting events and games, local bars, clubs, and retail locations, and assisting with the setup and execution of live broadcasts at various locations throughout Palm Beach County.

Promotions Director:

ESPN Radio 760 (WEFL) West Palm Beach, FL. is seeking a high-energy, Promotions Director. This person will be responsible for the following:

Promotions Director day-to-day duties:
• Creating, planning and managing all promotions for ESPN Radio 760
• Liaison between Programming and Sales
• Work closely with GM on community events, marketing and public relations
• Supervising the promotions department and college internship program
• Maintaining station website content, including web calendars and email club
• Creating graphics for the station: elementary Photoshop knowledge required
• Coordinating, staffing, executing, and recapping client appearances, events, remotes and on-air contests
• Conducting promotions and client meetings
• Maintaining media kits
• Maintaining promotions calendar and prize closet
• Working closely with Program Directors and sales staff to develop promotion ideas and plan other format appropriate events
• Involved in the creation of on-air promos, media press releases, proposals and recaps of events
• Involved in and seek trade agreements to generate revenue for the stations
• Some nights and weekends required
• Assist Account Executives with proposals and copy when necessary
• Keep track of all sponsorships sold and communicate with Programming staff
• Update and maintain advertiser database

The qualified individual will generate marketing and advertising campaigns for various businesses utilizing the on-air, on-line, promotions and personalities of ESPN Radio 760.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be creative, productive and to perform other such duties as may be required for the efficient operations of the stations. In addition, candidates must have proficiency with Microsoft Office.
